dg-allyson-medium-shoulder-bag For the most part, it’s human nature to gravitate towards the things we like. However, there are times when the most hated handbags get talked about the most. Considering the popularity of worst dressed lists in celebrity magazines, people can’t seem to refrain from getting satisfaction from pointing out the fashion failures of others. So let’s change things up and start bashing some bags.

Firstly, this particular design might not seem buzz worthy or even worth discussing. It’s not a hideous bag that is easy to attack. This shoulder bag would be happy to be in the spotlight for even a moment. There are no aspects of particular beauty to note, no major shortcomings and certainly no star quality. The mediocrity it emanates is the part that is bothering me here.

It’s too Chloe-esque to be a D&B bag. Maybe I wouldn’t have been so disappointed if the shape, hardware and stitching didn’t come off as a blatant rip off of the well known Chloe Saskia and Bay bags. Have another gander at it and tell me if I’m wrong. It does have some shared characteristics with Dolce & Gabbana’s Miss Silky, but not enough to make it part of the family. At the very root of the problem, this bag seems to be lacking a sense of identity.
